Georgia High School Soccer - Westside overwhelmed by Putnam County
March 16, 2023: Augusta, GA 30907 The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Putnam County War Eagles (Eatonton, GA) and the host Westside Patriots (Augusta, GA), saw Putnam County's soccer squad triumph over Westside by a count of 8-0.
The War Eagles now hold a 9-0 record. They play next when they travel to Thomson for a 2A Area 4 test on Tuesday, March 21. Putnam County will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Lincoln County (Lincolnton, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Westside drops to 6-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to Hart County (Hartwell, GA) to meet the Bulldogs in a 3A Area 8 test on Saturday, March 25. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 8-3.
