In Saturday's non-league match, the host Shelby Whippets basketball team scored a good 55-46 triumph over the Lutheran West Longhorns.

In their next game, the Whippets meet the Maysville Panthers (Zanesville, OH) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 23. Shelby will attempt to better on its 25-2 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 25-3 record after their 72-64 non-league win over Warren (Vincent, OH).

With the defeat, Lutheran West moves to 24-3 on the year.
