Louisiana High School Softball - Winnfield bounces Church Point
March 16, 2024: Winnfield, LA 71483 Winnfield Tigers (Winnfield, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA), 16-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 15-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ouachita Christian for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. Winnfield will face a Eagles squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Caldwell Parish (Columbia, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 10-4.
With the loss, Church Point falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Mamou (Mamou, LA) to face the Demons in a 3A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Demons enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Mamou lost 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Rayne (Rayne, LA)
