March 16, 2024: Rock Hill, SC 29730 Gaffney Indians (Gaffney, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers (Rock Hill, SC), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Indians now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Stratford for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. Gaffney will battle a Knights squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to James F. Byrnes (Duncan, SC). The Knights record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Legion Collegiate Academy falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Lancers host Covenant Day (Matthews, NC) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 4-6. Covenant Day won 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC)
