West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting New Site Royals (New Site, MS), 8-7 in a non-league test.

With the win, West Union upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Falkner (Falkner, MS) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, March 19. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 2-6. Falkner won 17-0 in their recent league test against Blue Mountain (Blue Mountain, MS)

With the defeat, New Site falls to 2-7 on the season. The Royals travel to Thrasher (Booneville, MS) to battle the Rebels in a non-league test on Saturday, March 19. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 1-4. Thrasher lost 16-0 in their recent non-league test against Smithville (Smithville, MS)
