March 17, 2022: Clay City, IL 62824 The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Clay City Wolves (Clay City, IL) and the visiting Wayne City Indians (Wayne City, IL), saw Clay City's softball squad achieve victory over Wayne City by a count of 14-4.
The Wolves now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Christ Our Rock Lutheran for a Midland Trail match on Monday, March 21. Clay City will face a Silver Stallions squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL). The Silver Stallions record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Wayne City falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Edwards County (Albion, IL) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Monday, March 21. The Lions enter the match with a record of 1-2.
