Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Glendale Cardinals (Glendale, AZ), 18-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Scorpions now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain Ridge for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 18. Desert Edge will face a Mountain Lions squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Glendale falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ) to face the Champions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 19. The Champions enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Cesar Chavez won 15-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Agua Fria (Avondale, AZ)
