In Thursday's non-league contest, the Francis Scott Key Eagles (Union Bridge, MD) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Hammond Golden Bears (Columbia, MD), by a margin of 12-2.

With the triumph, Francis Scott Key moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Eagles travel to Walkersville (Walkersville, MD) to play the Lions in a non-league contest on Friday, March 18. The Lions come into the contest with a record of 0-0.
