The Vanden Vikings crushed the host McClatchy Lions baseball team by a tally of 8-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Vikings now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fairfield for a Monticello Empire League bout on Monday, March 20. Vanden will face a Falcons team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Antioch (Antioch, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 6-2.

Next, the Lions face the Folsom Bulldogs (Folsom, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 18. McClatchy will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 0-4 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Downey (Modesto, CA).
