Virginia High School Softball - Hickory bounces Churchland
March 17, 2023: Chesapeake, VA 23322 Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Churchland Truckers (Portsmouth, VA), 17-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Hawks now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Kempsville for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 22. Hickory will meet a Chiefs squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Princess Anne (Virginia Beach, VA). The Chiefs record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Churchland moves to 0-5 on the season. The Truckers travel to Windsor (Windsor, VA) to meet the Dukes in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 21. The Dukes go into the match with a record of 1-0. Windsor won 18-9 in their recent non-league match against Churchland (Portsmouth, VA)
