Foresthill Wildfires (Foresthill, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildfires now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Leroy Greene Academy for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 20. Foresthill will face a Lions squad coming off a 16-5 non-league loss to Elite (Vallejo, CA). The Lions record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Placer falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Hillmen travel to Bear River (Grass Valley, CA) to face the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 20. The Bruins enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Bear River lost 12-8 in their recent league challenge against Marysville (Marysville, CA)
