Oregon High School Softball - Knappa bounces Neah-Kah-Nie
March 17, 2023: Rockaway Beach, OR 97136 Knappa Loggers (Astoria, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates (Rockaway Beach, OR), 11-4 in a league challenge.
The Loggers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Naselle for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 21. Knappa will face a Comets squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Clatskanie (Clatskanie, OR). The Comets record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Neah-Kah-Nie falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Taft (Lincoln City, OR) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 23. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Taft won 21-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Waldport (Waldport, OR)
