In Monday's non-league bout, the Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC) baseball squad edged the visiting NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks (Waxhaw, NC), by a tally of 8-7.

Next up, the Cougars encounter the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) in a Rocky River 2A/3A bout, on Tuesday, March 18. Central Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the bout with a 4-3 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Lee Park Prep (Monroe, NC).

The NightHawks (4-4) will now prepare for their bout against Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC). The Indians enter the non-league bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Westminster Catawba Christian was nudged by York Prep (Rock Hill, SC), 27-6, in a non-league bout.
