The Mountain Crest Mustangs softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting Grantsville Cowboys to 1 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Mountain Crest improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Mustangs host Green Canyon (North Logan, UT) to clash with the Wolves in a 4A Region 11 game on Tuesday, March 23. The Wolves come into the game with a record of 1-3. Green Canyon lost 17-5 in their recent non-league game against Providence Hall (Herriman, UT)

In their next game, the Cowboys clash with the Providence Hall Patriots (Herriman, UT) in a 3A Region 13 game, on Tuesday, March 23. Grantsville will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Patriots come into the game with a 5-3 record after their 23-8 non-league win over North Summit (Coalville, UT).
