Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Pioneers confront the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 23. Watauga will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record.

The Chargers now have a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Point for a Big South 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Crest will confront a Red Raiders team coming off a 13-0 league win over Huss (Gastonia, NC). The Red Raiders record now stands at 5-0.
