March 18, 2022: Newnan, GA 30265 Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Woodward Academy War Eagles (College Park, GA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Vikings confront the Whitewater Wildcats (Fayetteville, GA) in a AAAAA Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, March 22. Northgate will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 3-2 league win over Harris County (Hamilton, GA).
The War Eagles now have a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jonesboro for a AAAAA Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Woodward Academy will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Tri-Cities (East Point, GA). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-5.
