La Junta Tigers (La Junta, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO), 15-5 in a non-league test.

With the win, La Junta upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Valley Christian (Chandler, AZ) to battle the Trojans in a non-league test on Thursday, March 23. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 8-2. Valley Christian won 17-1 in their recent league test against American Leadership Academy - Anthem South (Florence, AZ)

With the defeat, Mead falls to 4-2 on the season. The Mavericks host Severance (Severance, CO) to battle the Silver Knights in a non-league test on Thursday, March 23. The Silver Knights come into the test with a record of 1-0. Severance won 11-8 in their recent non-league test against Pueblo County (Pueblo, CO)
