March 18, 2025: Onalaska, TX 77360 Onalaska Wildcats (Onalaska, TX) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Hemphill Hornets (Hemphill, TX), 9-3 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Onalaska moves its record to 6-5 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Anderson-Shiro (Anderson, TX) to confront the Fighting Owls in a 3A Region III District 23 match on Friday, March 21. The Fighting Owls enter the bout with a record of 7-6. Anderson-Shiro lost 8-3 in their recent non-league bout against Giddings (Giddings, TX)
The Hornets (7-9) will now prepare for their bout against Groveton (Groveton, TX). The Indians enter the 2A Region III District 24 bout with a 16-3 record. In their last bout, Groveton edged Slocum (Elkhart, TX), 18-5, in a non-league bout.
