In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Lipan Indians baseball team scored a close 7-5 win over the Meridian Yellowjackets.

The Indians (9-4) will now prepare for their game against Gordon (Gordon, TX). The Longhorns go into the non-league game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Gordon nudged Santo (Santo, TX), 12-2, in a non-league game.

Next, the Yellowjackets play the Frost Polar Bears (Frost, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 21. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Polar Bears go into the game with a 3-0 record after their 13-1 non-league win over Milford (Milford, TX).
