Washington High School Baseball - Cheney holds off West Valley
March 18, 2025: Spokane, WA 99212 The Cheney Blackhawks baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host West Valley Eagles to 7 in the Blackhawks non-league win on Tuesday.
The Blackhawks now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Medical Lake for a non-league test on Friday, March 21. Cheney will play a Cardinals team coming off a 12-8 non-league win over Kettle Falls (Kettle Falls, WA). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, West Valley drops to 2-1 on the year. The Eagles host Rogers (Spokane, WA) to play the Pirates in a non-league test on Saturday, March 22. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 0-2. Rogers lost 14-4 in their recent non-league test against Deer Park (Deer Park, WA)
