The Southlands Christian Eagles edged the visiting El Monte Lions softball squad by a count of 9-8 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles play the Bethel Christian Kings (Riverside, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 21. Southlands Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Kings enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 20-3 league win over Packinghouse Christian Academy (Redlands, CA).

The Lions (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mark Keppel (Alhambra, CA). The Aztecs enter the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Mark Keppel edged Gabrielino (San Gabriel, CA), 13-1, in a non-league challenge.
