In Wednesday's non-league bout, the Hamilton County Foxes (McLeansboro, IL) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Pope County Pirates (Golconda, IL), by a tally of 16-4.

Next up, the Foxes encounter the Nashville Hornets (Nashville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 20. Hamilton County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Hornets enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 10-3 non-league win over Red Bud (Red Bud, IL).
