The Taft Eagles softball team scored 17 runs and held the host Auburn Trojans to 3 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.

Next, the Eagles meet the Jones Eagles (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Public Red challenge, on Monday, March 30. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 16-0 non-league loss to Niles North (Skokie, IL).

The Trojans (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Staunton (Staunton, IL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Staunton overcame Nokomis (Nokomis, IL), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.
