March 19, 2022: Albany, LA 70711 Covington Lions (Covington, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Albany Hornets (Albany, LA), 19-3 in a non-league test.
With the win, Covington upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Lions host Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA) to battle the Green Wave in a 5A District 6 test on Tuesday, March 22. The Green Wave come into the test with a record of 7-4. Ponchatoula lost 4-2 in their recent non-league test against Berwick (Berwick, LA)
With the defeat, Albany falls to 0-11 on the season. The Hornets travel to East Ascension (Gonzales, LA) to battle the Spartans in a non-league test on Thursday, March 24. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 3-5. East Ascension won 7-6 in their recent non-league test against Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA)
