Allen Eagles (Allen, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Southlake Carroll Dragons (Southlake, TX), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they host McKinney for a 6A Region I District 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Allen will face a Lions squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Prosper (Prosper, TX). The Lions record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Southlake Carroll falls to 10-10 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to V.R. Eaton (Fort Worth, TX) to face the Eagles in a 6A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-2. V.R. Eaton won 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Keller Central (Keller, TX)
