Illinois High School Softball - Carterville bounces Crab Orchard
March 19, 2022: Carterville, IL 62918 Carterville Lions (Carterville, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Crab Orchard Trojans (Marion, IL), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Massac County for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 21. Carterville will face a Patriots squad coming off a 17-0 non-league win over Pope County (Golconda, IL). The Patriots record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Crab Orchard falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Trojans host Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL) to face the Redbirds in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 21. The Redbirds enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Frankfort won 9-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Nashville (Nashville, IL)
