March 19, 2024: Greenwood, SC 29649 Mauldin Mavericks (Mauldin, SC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Greenwood Eagles (Greenwood, SC), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mavericks confront the J.L. Mann Patriots (Greenville, SC) in a AAAAA Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, March 26. Mauldin will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 9-0 record after their 4-0 league win over Woodmont (Piedmont, SC).
The Eagles now have a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Joseph's Catholic for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 22. Greenwood will confront a Knights team coming off a 3-0 league win over Christ Church Episcopal (Greenville, SC). The Knights record now stands at 8-1.
