The South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC), 14-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host West Cabarrus for a Greater Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 25.

With the defeat, Bandys drops to 2-6 on the year. The Trojans host West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC) to clash with the Warriors in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A challenge on Friday, March 21. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 0-11. West Caldwell lost 14-0 in their recent league challenge against West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)
