In Wednesday's non-league bout, the Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Philip Simmons Iron Horses (Charleston, SC), by a score of 9-3.

Next up, the Lions encounter the Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC) in a NCISAA Charlotte bout, on Tuesday, March 25. Covenant Day will attempt to advance on its 9-1 season record. The Cougars go into the game with a 4-2 record after their 8-5 non-league win over Charlotte Stampede (Charlotte, NC).
