South Carolina High School Soccer - Newberry nudged by Woodruff
March 19, 2025: Woodruff, SC 29388 Woodruff Wolverines (Woodruff, SC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Newberry Bulldogs (Newberry, SC), 1-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Woodruff moves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Broome (Spartanburg, SC) to clash with the Centurions in a AAA Region 3 test on Friday, March 21. The Centurions come into the test with a record of 0-3. Broome lost 4-1 in their recent non-league test against Blue Ridge (Greer, SC)
The Bulldogs now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Silver Bluff for a AAA Region 4 test on Friday, March 21. Newberry will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 league win over Fox Creek (North Augusta, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-1.
