The East Rowan Mustangs triumphed over the visiting North Davidson Black Knights softball squad by a count of 7-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC) in a South Piedmont 3A challenge, on Friday, March 21. East Rowan will attempt to upgrade on its 7-0 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 5-1 league win over Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC).

The Black Knights (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Grizzlies enter the Mid-Piedmont 3A challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Oak Grove edged Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 10-0, in a non-league challenge.
