The Maize Eagles routed the visiting Hays Indians baseball team by a count of 17-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Stillwater for a non-league test on Friday, March 20. Maize will play a Pioneers team coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Union (Tulsa, OK). The Pioneers record now stands at 9-1.

With the defeat, Hays drops to 0-1 on the year. The Indians host Dodge City (Dodge City, KS) to play the Demons in a Western Athletic test on Thursday, April 2. The Demons go into the outing with a record of 0-0.
