Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM), 4-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Magdalena advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Steers travel to Oak Grove Classical Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to battle the Owls in a non-league match on Friday, March 20. The Owls go into the game with a record of 4-1. Oak Grove Classical Academy won 9-6 in their recent non-league game against Dexter (Dexter, NM)

Next, the Warriors play the Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 24. Ruidoso will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 2-0 record after their 19-0 non-league win over Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM).
