In Thursday's non-league contest, the Cypress Ridge Rams (Houston, TX) softball team held off the host Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), by a margin of 2-1.

With the triumph, Cypress Ridge moves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Rams travel to Cypress Woods (Cypress, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Friday, March 3. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 9-8. Cypress Woods won 8-2 in their recent non-league contest against Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX)

In their next game, the Spartans play the Oak Ridge War Eagles (Conroe, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, March 3. Cypress Lakes will attempt to move on its 1-9 season record.
