Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Bensalem topped by Downingtown West
March 2, 2024: Bensalem, PA 19020 The Downingtown West Whippets basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Bensalem Fighting Owls to 45 in the Whippets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Whippets now sport a 16-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roman Catholic for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 9. Downingtown West will battle a Cahillite team coming off a 63-29 non-league win over Abraham Lincoln (Philadelphia, PA). The Cahillite record now stands at 23-2.
The Fighting Owls (18-8) will now prepare for their contest against Cumberland Valley (Mechanicsburg, PA). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 24-3 record. In their last contest, Cumberland Valley prevailed over Chambersburg (Chambersburg, PA), 48-39, in a non-league contest.
