In Saturday's non-league contest, the DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS) softball team overwhelmed the host Saltillo Tigers (Saltillo, MS), by a margin of 6-0.

With the triumph, DeSoto Central moves its record to 5-0 on the year. The Jaguars host Grenada (Grenada, MS) to play the Chargers in a non-league contest on Monday, March 4. The Chargers come into the contest with a record of 6-0. Grenada won 15-2 in their recent non-league contest against Independence (Independence, MS)

In their next game, the Tigers play the Marion Patriots (Marion, AR) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 2. Saltillo will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Patriots come into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to South Panola (Batesville, MS).
