Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Fabens Wildcats (Fabens, TX), 16-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Desert Warriors now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bowie for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19.

With the loss, Fabens falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host San Elizario (San Elizario, TX) to face the Eagles in a 4A Region I District 2 challenge on Friday, March 22. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-7.
