Texas High School Softball - Forney nudges Lake Creek
March 2, 2024: Forney, TX 75126 Forney Jackrabbits (Forney, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Jackrabbits now own a 16-1 record. They take the field next when they host Red Oak for a 5A Region II District 14 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. Forney will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 6-2 non-league win over South Hills (Fort Worth, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 8-6.
With the loss, Lake Creek falls to 16-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Klein Forest (Houston, TX) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-9. Klein Forest lost 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Forney (Forney, TX)
