Louisiana High School Softball - Grand Lake bounces Westgate
March 2, 2024: New Iberia, LA 70560 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Grand Lake Hornets (Lake Charles, LA) and the host Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA), witnessed Grand Lake's softball squad prevail over Westgate by a count of 15-5.
The Hornets now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Jennings for a non-league match on Monday, March 4. Grand Lake will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-10 non-league loss to Eunice (Eunice, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-2.
With the loss, Westgate moves to 4-4 on the season. The Tigers host David Thibodaux (Lafayette, LA) to face the Bulldogs in a 4A District 4 match on Monday, March 4. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 3-7.
