The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX) and the host McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX), saw Sherman's softball squad achieve victory over McKinney by a count of 14-2.

The Bearcats now sport a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they host Princeton for a 5A Region II District 13 match on Tuesday, March 5. Sherman will face a Panthers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Van Alstyne (Van Alstyne, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 7-8.
