Texas High School Softball - Midway bounces Northwest
March 2, 2024: Justin, TX 76247 The Midway Panthers routed the host Northwest Texans softball squad by a final score of 14-2 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Panthers (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX). The Bulldawgs go into the 6A Region II District 12 bout with a 8-3 record. In their last bout, Copperas Cove toppled Lampasas (Lampasas, TX), 14-2, in a non-league bout.
The Texans now possess a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Saginaw for a 5A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, March 5. Northwest will confront a Rough Riders squad coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Mineral Wells (Mineral Wells, TX). The Rough Riders record now stands at 4-10.
