In Monday's non-league bout, the Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Northwest Raiders (Opelousas, LA), by a tally of 24-9.

Next up, the Greyhounds encounter the Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 3. Welsh will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record.

With the defeat, Northwest drops to 4-11 on the year. The Raiders travel to Livonia (Livonia, LA) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 5.
