The Desert Mountain Wolves nudged the visiting Mountain Pointe Pride baseball team by a tally of 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Wolves now hold a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chaparral for a 5A Northeast Valley bout on Thursday, March 21. Desert Mountain will face a Firebirds team coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Casteel (Queen Creek, AZ). The Firebirds record now stands at 9-4.

Next, the Pride face the Casteel Colts (Queen Creek, AZ) in a 5A San Tan bout, on Monday, April 1. Mountain Pointe will attempt to advance on its 9-5 season record.
