March 20, 2025: Asheboro, NC 27205 In Thursday's non-league bout, the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) baseball squad edged the visiting East Davidson Golden Eagles (Thomasville, NC), by a tally of 6-5.
Next up, the Cougars encounter the Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC) in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A bout, on Friday, March 21. Southwestern Randolph will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 7-2 record after their 4-3 non-league win over West Davidson (Lexington, NC).
The Golden Eagles (3-6) will now prepare for their bout against North Rowan (Spencer, NC). The Cavaliers enter the Central Carolina 1A/2A bout with a 3-5 record. In their last bout, North Rowan was nudged by Thomasville (Thomasville, NC), 22-11, in a league bout.
