With the triumph, Alexander Central improves its record to 5-0 on the year. The Cougars host South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to face the Spartans in a non-league contest on Friday, March 27. The Spartans enter the contest with a record of 3-0.

The Pioneers now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host McDowell for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 24.
