Alabama High School Softball - Weaver bounces Anniston
March 21, 2023: Anniston, AL 36207 Weaver Bearcats (Weaver, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Anniston Bulldogs (Anniston, AL), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Bearcats now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Wellborn for a 3A Area 9 challenge on Thursday, March 23. Weaver will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 16-5 non-league loss to Randolph County (Wedowee, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 0-4.
With the loss, Anniston falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Valley Head (Valley Head, AL) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 4-9.
