Delaware High School Baseball - Indian River nips Laurel
March 21, 2024: Laurel, DE 19956 Indian River Indians (Dagsboro, DE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Laurel Bulldogs (Laurel, DE), 4-3 in a league test.
With the win, Indian River upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Indians host Sussex Academy (Georgetown, DE) to battle the Seahawks in a Henlopen South test on Tuesday, March 26. The Seahawks come into the test with a record of 1-0. Sussex Academy won 26-6 in their recent non-league test against First State Military Academy (Clayton, DE)
With the defeat, Laurel falls to 1-1 on the season. The Bulldogs host Sussex Central (Georgetown, DE) to battle the Golden Knights in a non-league test on Friday, March 29. The Golden Knights come into the test with a record of 1-0.
