In Friday's league bout, the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) baseball squad edged the visiting Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), by a tally of 7-6.

Next up, the Fighting Scots encounter the Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 24. Scotland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Hawks enter the bout with a 6-5 record after their 6-1 league loss to Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC).

The Vikings (3-6) will now prepare for their bout against Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders enter the Sandhills 3A/4A bout with a 6-5 record. In their last bout, Richmond edged Hoke County (Raeford, NC), 10-0, in a league bout.
