In Friday's non-league match, the host Corning Cardinals softball team scored a tight 6-5 win over the Willows Honkers.

The Cardinals (1-8) will now prepare for their match against Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 9-1 record. In their last match, Los Molinos nipped Modoc (Alturas, CA), 11-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Honkers battle the Paradise Bobcats (Paradise, CA) in a Sacramento Valley match, on Tuesday, March 25. Willows will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Bobcats come into the match with a 2-3 record after their 13-4 non-league loss to Gridley (Gridley, CA).
