The Frankfort Redbirds triumphed over the host Pope County Pirates softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Redbirds play the Crab Orchard Trojans (Marion, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, March 24. Frankfort will attempt to upgrade on its 3-0 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Marissa (Marissa, IL).

The Pirates (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Eldorado (Eldorado, IL). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Eldorado was routed by Johnston City (Johnston City, IL), 17-0, in a non-league challenge.
